About the difference we make

Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy

India is teeming with so much young talent for sports and we love it when these enthusiastic little ones walk through our academy gates, wanting to make something of themselves!

Pritam Siwach Academy started in year 2008 by India’s Former Hockey Captain Pritam Siwach, as an endeavor to grant formal growth opportunities to the deserving youth with a sports talent despite their economic background or any other life challenges. Most of our efforts go in coaching girls belonging to underprivileged or small-farmer families from Haryana and we try to support them in more ways than just teaching Hockey. We see so much potential in these young kids and we know they can achieve a lot with the right guidance.

We welcome you to pay us a visit, volunteer for the academy, or contribute in other ways.

Olympics Gold Winner 2008 & Captain of Indian Women’s Hockey Team 2006.

About Pritam Siwach

“My Son was just 7 months old when I was called for a ‘come-back’ for the Commonwealth Games. It was the most difficult time of my career - balancing motherhood with the tough demands of Hockey discipline. But I had to do it for my team. We needed a win and we did - in 2002 Commonwealth we won the Gold”.

India’s Highest Sports Honours:

The Arjuna Award - In 1999, after a Silver in the Asian Games Thailand under Pritam’s captainship, she received the Arjuna Award for her outstanding performance in the national sport. India had secured this significant victory in Women’s Hockey after 13 years and Pritam was the top scorer in the match.

The Dronacharya Award - 17 years after Pritam initiated her academy, she was honored with the Dronacharya Award in 2021. Her academy was performing well and every year girls would get selected for the Olympics, Commonwealth, Hockey World Cup, etc and bring victory home.
